R.E.A.D. Therapy Dogs In-Person

The Wakulla County Library is participating in Project R.E.A.D (Reading Education Assistance Dogs). This program is dedicated to improving children's reading skills by using registered Pet Partner therapy teams as literacy mentors. 

For this program, you will come into the library and sign up for an individual time slot at our front desk (children will require parent authorization by signing one of our permission forms). Then you can either bring in your favorite book, or choose from the library catalogue to read to and pet the therapy dog. This is a well loved event, so come early and reserve your time slot.
